Story

Necessity is the mother of invention.  That is the beginning of the Hot Fusion story and the inspiration for the Ajísimo sauce family.  Tired of watered down, cheaply made and gimmicky hot sauces the Hot Fusion team went to work.  Starting in a home kitchen with a pile of fresh farmer's market ingredients, dozens of recipes were tried until we got it just right.  Finally, a hot sauce that fulfilled the promise of heat AND flavor!  Once we nailed down our Original Habanero recipe, we knew we had something and started in on creating an entire line of Ajísimo sauces.

How did we come up with Hot Fusion?  Founders Alberto & Cory worked together in the high-tech world for well-over a decade.  Over hundreds of lunches and office conversations, their mutual love of hot sauce and disdain over what was available in the stores led them to conceptualize Hot Fusion.  With Cory's Midwest roots, he loves quality and knows what pepper lovers want.  Alberto's Venezuelan roots lend authenticity and a sophisticated Latin flavor to all of our products.  Cory & Alberto together equal Hot Fusion!

Early on, they decided they wanted to be a different kind of hot sauce producer, free of gimmicks and full of flavor.  With a constant eye on ingredient quality and ratios, they took an artisanal approach.  They never water down their sauces or thin them with vinegar.  They carefully craft each recipe to best highlight each pepper featured in the sauce.  Our sauces are also aged to perfection, so that when you open a bottle you are going to get the absolute best flavor every time.  We don't like to throw around the word "gourmet" but if you are looking for taste, then Ajísimo is it!
